Let's get the big one out of the way...Virgin Voyages opts out of offering buffets. While buffets can be fantastic, Virgin takes a unique approach to dining compared to traditional cruising. Once on board and after you've made or adjusted your entertainment and dining reservations, head on over to The Galley and grab a quick bite, it's their onboard food court with food-truck-inspired options. Alternatively, you can pick up a "Grab-n-Go" salad, sandwich, dessert, and snacks in eco-friendly packaging, which can be conveniently stored in your mini fridge for later😘. The Wake and rojo by Razzle Dazzle will be open for a sit-down lunch. For a more leisurely meal, The Wake and Rojo by Razzle Dazzle are ready to welcome you for a sit-down lunch.

The Galley
The Galley on Virgin Voyages is a cool dining spot with gorgeous views that replace your normal cruise ship buffet for a trendy food hall with various food stations. Each station focuses on different types of food, like, sushi, street tacos, ramen noodles, baked goods, desserts, salads, sandwiches, burgers, breakfast served 24-hrs at Diner & Dash and more.
How to Order in The Galley
At The Galley, you have two convenience options for placing your order, plus some grab-and-go choices:
Order with a Server - Each table is equipped with a menu. Simply raise your flag when you’re ready to order, and a server will come to take your selection.
Order at a Station - For a quicker option, you can choose from items available over the counter or place a made-to-order request at the station. You’ll receive a vibrating puck that alerts you when your order is ready.
Grab & Go - A select few items are available from Grab & Go stations at the entrance to The Galley as well as Bento Baby.

Sit Down Service
There's something else they do different, instead of a Main Dining Room there are six "Specialty Dining" restaurants for each night of our sailing, all included, so be sure to book each one for the full dining experience and don't miss out on the wine or cocktail pairing options, also known as Savor & Sip.
Brunch & Dinner Reservations
Reservations usually open up around 9:00PM, on the west coast. Some lucky folks have even snagged spots before the official time. To find out the exact date for your trip, just check the Virgin Voyages app or website.
Tip: Remember we are on west coast time, so it will open at 9:00PM, February 10, 2026, for us.
Virgin Voyages has a relaxed dress code, so you are welcome to dress as casually or formally as you wish. I highly suggest making dining reservations via the app 60 days before sailing. Dining Reservations will open on February 10, 2026, at 9:00 PM (PST).
Here are your "specialty dining" restaurants you will need to reserve for brunch and dinner (all included & see YouTube reviews in Red):
The Wake (Brunch & Dinner) - An upscale Seafood & Steakhouse restaurant offering a glamorous, modern take on a classic chophouse with a dramatic view of the ship's wake.
Rojos by Razzle Dazzle (Brunch & Dinner) - Spanish-inspired restaurant that transforms from a casual brunch spot by day to an elevated tapas and dinner experience by night.
Pink Agave (Dinner & Pink Agave After Dark) - Modern and vibrant, upscale Mexican cuisine with both small, shareable plates and larger entrees, as well as the largest selection of tequila and mezcal at sea.
Gunbae (Dinner) - Korean BBQ with a high-energy, social, and interactive dining experience with grills at each table and a really fun drinking game with a complimentary shot of soju, two shots for the winner. (Each table seats 8 people)
Test Kitchen (Dinner) - An experimental, lab-style restaurant featuring a unique, six-course tasting menu designed to be an adventure. It's similar to other cruise lines $150+ "Chef's Table", but with a little more adventure. There are three different menus, Menu A will be at the beginning of the cruise, Menu B would be in middle, and Menu C will be served at the end. If there's an item you know you just can't do, you can swap items from the vegetarian menu. I would plan this one early giving you a chance to try something else if you walk away hungry.
Extra Virgin (Dinner) - A warm and relaxed Italian eatery that provides a traditional neighborhood trattoria atmosphere, featuring dishes such as homemade pasta, their popular meatballs, and the infamous Affogado prepared tableside for dessert.
.
Tips:
#1-To help you plan better there are menus located on Virgin Voyages Sailor's App and website.
#2-An additional dinner option is Up with A Twist Supper Club. This dinner show includes passed hors d'oeuvres and a four-course menu and five curated cocktails/mocktails ($50). Reserved on app.
#3-Reserve dinner after 6:30PM day of embarkation if you want to participate in the Champagne Sail Away Party.
#4-It's all-you-can-eat in all of the restaurants. It's encouraged to order small and medium plates "family style" and share with your table of friends.
Steps for Booking
To book your dining reservations, just open the Virgin Voyages app and head to the Discover section > Ship Spaces > Eateries, or visit the Virgin Voyages website and navigate to your voyage home. You'll find a list of restaurants and their availability there. Pick your meal period by tapping the red button at the top, choose brunch or dinner, enter the number of sailors, and hit “Search Availability” to see the available times.
Heads up:
About a third of the total restaurant bookings will be available Feb 10, 2026, with more options once you're on board.
If you find that everything is fully booked before your cruise, there’s no need to panic! Keep checking the App for availability. You can also seek assistance onboard. Go to Rojo by Razzle Dazzle typically between 1:30PM - 4:30PM on the first day of the cruise. After the first day, visit Sailor Services on Deck 5 near Pink Agave between 9:00AM - 2:00PM for assistance with reservations. *Locations subject to change.
Note: On longer sailings (6-8 nights): You have the option to reserve two times per restaurant.
You can book brunch at The Wake and Rojo by Razzle Dazzle between 8:00AM -1:00PM, and it won't count against your reservation limit. Dinner is available from 5:45PM -10:00PM.
Optimal Booking Time
Most shows happen every night at either 7:30 or 8:00 PM and then again at 10:00 PM. The main acts usually perform twice in an evening to fit different dinner times. Some places to eat, like Gunbae and The Test Kitchen, can take up to two hours, so make sure to plan ahead. For other spots, give yourself at least 1.5 hours.
Note: Times and locations are subject to change, check your Event Line-up for more information on help desk hours.
Linking with Friends and Family
Before you hit the open seas, I suggest you get in touch with who you are cruising with (booked in and out of the group) to link your bookings for brunch, dinner and show reservations. Just open up the Virgin Voyages app and go to Messenger > Contacts. There, you'll find a QR code or a link to share with your friends. When they scan or open this link, all the contacts from the other bookings will be added to your list. Don't worry I can also link your bookings, just reach out to me.
Note: If you’re looking to book for more than 8 people, just give me a call and I’ll sort it out for you.

Feel like breakfast in bed or staying in for the evening? You can always opt for ShipEats Delivery, as I strongly believe in the right to order room service when on vacation. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, late-night munchies is just a mobile or tablet app order away.
ShipEats Delivery
ShipEats (Room Service) is available 24-hrs, concluding at midnight on the day of disembarkation. You can place orders through the app to be delivered to your cabin or a few select locations on the ship.
Delivery Charge
Ship Eats is included in your cruise fare excluding the delivery charge of $10, but it's waived if you order at least $10 worth of paid items like alcoholic drinks, premium coffees, or certain extras
Smart Delivery
Ship Eats uses a smart delivery system with reusable containers in a sealed dry bag, making it easy to carry and store your food. You can track your order’s progress on the Virgin Voyages app and receive notifications when it’s delivered to your cabin.

With so many options; a couple of late nights and a couple more being 24-hrs you won't go hungry, that's for sure.
